Kimberly A. Hines has been an expert line editor, writer and public relations consultant for more than a decade and has edited a diverse spectrum of writing including mainstream, romantic comedy, urban contemporary, Christian and spiritual fiction, short stories, and nonfiction. With her passion for creative content, Kimberly has transformed stories into tantalizing tales that have enthralled readers across the country.
A writer at heart, Kimberly has won numerous awards for her fiction and poetry. The Detroit Writers Guild, Blackwords, and NEB Publishing have recognized her literary endeavors. She is currently working on her debut novel, a short story collection, a anthology, and adapting one of her award-winning short stories into a screenplay and short film.
As a public relations consultant for authors, she has developed press kits, written promotional materials, and planned multi-city book tours for her clients. Kimberly served as the Public Relations Director for the Black Writers Alliance from 1998 to 2003 and was instrumental in establishing programs such as the Gold Pen Awards. In her position, she was directly responsible for the organization and its events being covered on radio, television, and print media such as The New York Times, Essence, Upscale, and Black Issues Book Review magazines.
Kimberly holds a bachelors degree in psychology and a certificate in editing and publications from Georgetown University in Washington, D.C. She lives in Prince Georges County, Maryland, and when she isn't editing or writing Kimberly can be found decorating her home or toiling in her garden.
